While the last couple of episode were well above average for filler they were pretty weak naruto episodes, and no i don't just need action, i thought 461 was particularly good despite being filler and no action, what i need is a good moving story!
Yes this stuff takes place in the past right at the start of things but it's all stuff we already know and not done particularly well. Admittedly the clarification about indra turning the chakra dispersal into a means of everyone doing techniques was interesting but should have taken 30s not 2 episodes, this was the only thing that moved anything along or added anything in the last episodes.
If they really wanted to look at the origin of the naruto universe they could look at where chakra/kaguya/tree comes from, now this could be interesting, but they can't because its filler and they can't add anything that doesn't fit into the story or that the writer might want to cover later. So we're stuck with building a bridge and chasing a bore around in the woods instead of continuing the most important fight of the fucking series!
And filler means anime filler not story filler! Although i can see the confusion as it generally means both
