just depends on how much kabuto modified them i guess.......just look at nagato. he was brought back as a handicap, but was able to convert into a badass.
kabuto didnt modify / summon either of the Lords
Orochimaru did..
Perhaps the ressurection jutsu really does bring them back at the point of their death, which makes sense for granny chiyo, nagato, etcetc.
And for Madara, it's the state of when he should have died, had he not awakened the rinnegan and put himself on life support. It isnt complete logic, but it's close enough
