first half of gyo was fairly interesting, but the second half was way too bizarre for my liking
also had a lot of logic errors. this and the designs made the whole thing pretty laughable
as far as i know a very original take on the zombie apocalype theme tho

Just finished True Tears and enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me of the ef series in many ways which is a good thing of course.
The characters felt believable and the amount of drama was just about right. The artstyle and backgrounds both felt perfect for the series too.
That said, I hated how the main ended up breaking the heart of the most likable and refreshing girl in the series and even with that put aside I didn't care for the ending very much. It just felt way too vague and the "so-called-epilogue" made the whole thing even worse.
Other than when Noe was directly involved there wasn't a lot of light-heartedness or straightforward comedy and that coupled with a few heartbreaks have given the series a reputation of being sad which I personally feel is exaggerated.
I mean, the nature of the story makes it a bit more gloomy than your average cliché romance shoujo but that should pretty much be a given if something wants to have any real emotional effect.
Anyway, the positives outweight the negatives by far and I'd give True Tears about 8/10.
everyone i know likes noe better, feels like i'm the only one who rooted for hitomi
