It's Dragonball Z + Naruto with its own Bleach twist. Same formula as anything I guess. A little splash of originality + the power up & repetition formula = the story.

What I wish they got right in Bleach is the progression of power. A good writer needs to plan out his story, and leave room for the 'power-ups' to be more believable and flow better. In bleach, things are really all over the place... and it would've only taken a few easy fixes to have the whole story make a lot more sense in terms of progression. It's still entertaining, non-the-less.
this is because he rushed everything and got to the point.. maybe hes trying to end bleach.. cause if its gunna go longer there coulda been like 50 more chapters of explanation.. they didnt show byakuya and kenpachis fight end with yammi, they didnt show any of the captains leaving hueco mudno... they didnt say anything about the captains and vice captains at the fake karakura town after ichigo got involved... they still gotta explain ichigo, and how he got his new powers from zangetsu
i wanna know what every1 else is doing.. nobodys comming to help beat aizen, there all still in hueco mundo for all we know
my opinion.. hes trying to end bleach asap lol
