~I think the issue is that serials in any format (anime, TV drama, Radio soaps etc) lose their thrill when they go on so long. It's hard to have a clear beginning, middle, end and a comprehensive storyline that doesn't include way too much fluffery. That's why I prefer shorter animes. I think the longest I ever watched and enjoyed was Monster at 70 something episodes.
