if the partner you have sex with already has aids you can "contract" it.

If you engage in a sexual intercourse with an individual that has AIDs, you will contract HIV (not aids)

Statistically speaking you have a 1 % chance to get aids. You cannot get rid of HiV which leads to aids as well. I majored in health education when I was attending college, I think I know what I'm talking about.

you are the one who's ignorant lol...if they have low cd4's due to an illness such as cancer they can get diagnosed with aids at the same exact moment they get hiv..

i guess you are right, contract isn't a word i would use to get aids, but you can get diagnosed with aids right away

Having low CD4 count is different than having Low CD4 count caused by HIV

WHEN your cd4 count dips below 200 after a certain stage of HIV, you're now diagnosed with "aids"
