I really can't remember clearly, but I don't ever remember the fox having feelings of kindness for naruto.  He does have grudging respect for him (a little), when Naruto's like "stupid fox, I let you live in me, pay the rent and lend me your chakra" and the fox says something to the effect of "I admire your courage", but in the same breath the fox expresses his desire to break down the barrier and consume him.

Winning over the fox could be possible (not just talking dominance, through sheer will power, but like that of bee's relationship with the 8 tails) but it certainly won't be easy, and for some reason I don't see it happening, at least not out of friendship.  The best I can see is the fox cooperating out of entirely selfish reasons, aka helping Naruto to stay alive.  Or Naruto just suppressing its will through sheer force.

unlikely. a ninjaas greatest advantage in battle is the opponent not knowing your abilities. that being said i think kakashi kept it a secret as long as he could and the only reason people even know about it beyond rin/minato is because it was seen in battle by teammates and enemies that survived the battle
