I remember when I thoroughly enjoyed this manga..now theres some random stupid surprise twist ending with every chapter. Starting to think Hiro Mashima is the Japanese pronunciation of M Night Shyamalan or some kinda pen-name and this is just one big joke.

not really t ho the time skip was not necessary but fairy tail had nothing to aim for before the time skip since they were the strongest and just took down grimor heart so....

It's like they toss a dice with a different storyline on the sides and it landed on time skip - troll.
