His Shikai was shown when he was about to take on Ukitake and the other captain who's name I always forget. Even his Shikai was so immense that the captains were scared shitless. Yamomoto in my opinion is the strongest bleach character, next to Aizen.

i haven't read the manga yet but is urahara up to their level? his bankai isn't revealed yet but in wikipedia it said that he says his bankai is too powerful etc.

We haven't seen Urahara's bankai, so who knows? I think Urahara is definitely top level, but I wouldn't say he is as strong as Aizen or Yamomoto.

Honestly i thought his shikai is to read others movement like a Sharingan in Naruto, but after the Flashbacks, idont think so lol
UNLESS he found a way to read someone's mind while exiled in Earth
because the way he learns new techniques quickly, like how he copied Yami's, or the Espada's new technique, after seeing it once. Gotta give him credit for that
