Has anybody ever wondered what the king of soul society is or why he is so tightly locked away? It's no secret that soul society has some skeletons in its closet so what if the king is one of them? I have this suspicion that the tinkg is not a really nice guy...and probably insanely powerful as well. This could have something to do with where the story is going...

i think hes protecting everyone else from him

maybe his riatsu is so much that a weak soul dies in his presence

I'd be pretty annoyed if Aizen's goal was to release an imprisoned "King". If Aizen somehow got in contact with the guy during his time as a Captain, and has been working to release this all powerful King, just to kneel at his feet and let him rule the universe... And of course, then a prophecy pops up about Ichigo being the only one who can stop him. (I seem to recall some mentions of people saying something like "You think he is THAT child?" ?) ............... Yah, that's when I stop watching Bleach.

I don't think they ever mentioned " you think he is that child"... They only way he was referenced that way was during the SS arc when they were saying Ichigo resembled Kaien, The vice captain That Rukia looked up to...

So yeah dunno where you got that from.
