I think he's just going to end up as an allied group later on. Kind of like how white beard and the other yonkos have pirate groups that work under them. Luffy seems to have won over the pirate navy too from the pointy head bro (I didn't want to butcher the spelling haha)

I was thinking this! But would Bartolomeo really ditch his crew to join Luffy? I mean, he got pretty angry when maynard beat up Gambia so it kinda shows how invested he is in his pirate crew.

He has a lot of unique stuff about him.

Cool devils fruit with lots of potential, interesting personality (no one in the crew is a huge luffy fanboy outright)
