Fillers are just time-wasters. At a time where the anime and manga are now in the same arc they're using filler episodes to help keep distance between the two. You really think "Road to Sakura" would have happened in the comic?

By the way, was this week's a filler? I probably won't watch it.

Wow. When I pictured Kakashi's rampage, I envisioned him basically slaughtering all of the swordsmen in a completely one-sided fight. That really sucks to hear if next week's is a filler also. Especially since we're actually getting to the "good part" of the war arc.
