Maybe. Luffy calls it "Thor Elephant Gun" though. making it different than just his regular elephant. the only thing different in the img of this new elephant gun is the lightning added to it.

just looked it up. it literally means:

Rubber Rubber Thunder General Elephant Gun

I was thinking too since everything is named after a gun. I googled thor and found this. "Karl-Gerät" (040/041) (German literally "Karl-device"), also known as Thor and Mörser Karl, was a World War II German self-propelled siege mortar. so it could also be elephant mortar so an upgrade from his elephant gun. I still the the lighning effect is just due to his energy output when he uses it "like when goku powers up lightning cracks around him" and the effect of the lightning makes sense with the name thor aka a cannon

Hmm maybe you guys are right! We'll have to wait for him to use it again in the finals (hopefully the finals will happen)

Although since his head cracked the arena maybe the factory will become exposed

luffy is rubber anyways and rubber doesn't conduct electricity.
not sure how it worked in one of the movies against shiki.
but i guess technically at VERY VERY VERY high ridiculous levels anything can conduct electricity except things that burn like wood.

that black haki thing is like an iron, when 2 irons smash at each other you can see the flash/electri energy

some of us never smashed 2 irons together... can you use a better analogy

that is your opinion. the black is just showing that he is using color of armaments. yes it makes him "hard". It doesn't change his physical properties.

e/ also It's one of luffy's moves, meaning he could theoretically use it on anything and still have the same effects
