I still have a hard time of thinking of burgess as a strong fighter. I know we dont know much about them but I feel like he was a pushover compared to the strawhats in mocktown when they first met and throughout the story so far. and now that his boss is an emperor he gets a sudden upgrade in strength. am I the only one or does anyone else feel that way?

another one of Luffy's new moves. would like to know how he is using elements in his attacks. Heat may be able to be explained. but lightning with a rubber body?

yeah. I was never impressed by Burgess. I always thought he would end up as Chopper's opponent making him no where near Luffy's level

yeah I would like to know the same thing actually. I can kind of understand the heat because Sanji is able to generate fire as well. but the lightning was weird for me as well

It's not burgess' strength, it's his character i was interested in. I just like how the 3 of them together have different plans for luffy.

haki has not been explained to be able to do this. of course this is the most popular belief. but still lightning from rubber. Oda won't just leave this as is without explaining. there will eventually be either a flash back to his training or just an explanation. most likely a flash back as Luffy doesn't explain his abilities himself. His enemies are actually the ones who usually end up explaining his abilities for us. lol

the only thing I could think was it could be like the force of the punch/haki was so intense it cause the air around it to crack or cause lightning ect
