HM is the SAME PLOT as SS, with a few tweaks and different characters. Exact same structure to the story.

Someone takes a person Ichigo cares about. He goes to this new world with all his friends to save this person after some hax training. The world has a group of super-powerful opponents with awesome powers. Once Ichigo defeats one of these opponents, they immediately become weaklings.

Ichigo almost dies trying to save said person. Ichigo trains some more/powers up.
