i made a mistake when i said "red flash" i meant his eyes was about to turn red
it happened when he was helping naruto, sasuke and sakura and then the guys with clones attacked them, all in chunnin exam

if they do.. Orochimaru still has his ring, but well they said that they hadn't captured the beasts yet so cant be that i guess..
