i could of swore madara was the first person to unlock the maygekou then his brother

im sure there could of been a few others in the 80 years but not to many

id put the number below 10 for sure if not even below 6 not counting kakashi

You can't assume that people just OBTAINED the mangekyou without evidence. It would be safe to say that kakashi, sasuke, itachi, madara, and madara's brother were the only ones in HISTORY to have the mangekyou. How could you even say that someone else with the mangekyou wouldn't end up being important (during their era) and kishimoto just forgot to mention them. Unless he plans to reveal a new character with mangekyou it would be safest to assume that nobody except for the KNOWN have the only mangekyou's in history.

He was the first, then his brother, and I am fairly confident that story line characters are not the only one to unlock the ems.

I'm judging by Itachi's speech, and the fact that there are many areas not explored due to time restraints, etc. Heck there's an Uchiha with 3 eyes...

itachi says "decades" i guess this could mean 2 seeing itachi did it in a separate decade then madara ofc

or one could assume in the 70 year gap between itachi birth and madara doing it could of been 1 or 2 more its not like the clan would just forget 2 kids did it 80 years ago and the stories of there epic ness wouldn't be passed down and the next generation wouldn't strive for that power and try to seek it



i agree with you that others have unlocked it my point yesterday was i doubt there was any other sets of brothers to unlock them becides madara izu itachi sasuke

and not to mention itachi gave sasuke his mankygeou he didnt awaken it on his own

Itachi also LIVED a lie for sasuke. This was all a ruse to get sasuke to eventually kill him. So we can't really trust what he said during that fight to sasuke. I'll concede my prior point though. There is a possibility that more than the current characters unlocked the mangekyou... I just think this possibility is very, very low.

I believe that this happened more times in the history of the Uchiha clan then just twice.

Here he talks about "many sacrifices" which implies more then 1 (at this time none of the current owners of the MS were even alive, so more clan members must have awakened the MS and perhaps EMS, though little can be drawn regarding the EMS from this page)

Now, like mentioned above, the entire thing could be a fake. But Itachi had no reason to lie about the clan's history or the requisites for unlocking the various forms of Sharingan. In fact his goal was to have Sasuke take his eyes, confirming the prereqs for obtaining the ems.
