Remember it was said in both the manga & anime that it's believed the 4th was the strongest nin Konoha ever produced, so..

The 4th > The 1st. (Must be).
I think its just the 1st's ability to control and manipulate the tailed creatures through his bloodline trait that makes him appear so powerful.
Especially considering the 4th had to sacrifice himself just to seal away the nine tails.

It would be cool if it was his teleport move but I think that's unlikely.
Apart from the fact Naruto is too retarded to learn a move of that complexity, the s/s I posted on the previous page mentions a key jutsu concerning Minato's seal.
Therefore it most likely has something to do with the nine-tails, e.g. how to release the seal?
Or something along those lines.

@ Akatsuki & Hawk, it's clear from the storyline he is about to learn a few new techniques, I can't see him surviving long otherwise.

@ the 8 tails - Can't remember if it's the 8 tails or another remaining but its location is unknown.

Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts： Yamata no Orochi is a Snake bijuu. It has crimsom red eyes, eight heads and eight tails (also depicted to having trees and vines growing around them) and has the power of the Demon world, a symbol of evil. Each head of Yamata no Orochi represents a symbol: Soul, Ghost, Evil, Devil, Monstrous, Kill, The Afterworld and Death.
Its powers were originally weak, the members of the Kusanagi clan, when attacking it, acted carelessly, using the legendary sword Kusanagi no Tsurugi (Oro’s sword). Would this mean Orochimaru still got the 8 tails? i think he still had the ring from Akatsuki if im not wrong, also Kabuto might turned into Orochimaru now, would make sence imo..

Yeah this makes me think that Orochimaru somehow became a jinchuriki in his travels after leaving Konoha.
Being able to freely use the sword stored in his stomach etc.

Also remember there was a snake seen slithering away after Oro was supposedly killed in the battle between Sauske and Itachi.
