How would you know what fruit did what if it didn't regrow? Black beard was searching for a fruit which had a power and shpe assigned to it. Meaning someone had eaten it before at some point and documented it. Obv it grew back because now BB has it

im pretty sure it has to do with willpower which is haki.

so law, overtime, attained stronger haki than Vergo's which nullified his haki thus being able to cut him

ya most ppl assumed it regrew. else there would be now way some1 wrote a book about all the fruits and what it does.
