You can say it's "opinion vs opinion", but it's not. Objectively the show has been mediocre at best and it's done a lot of things that are bad. The animation was poor at times, but it has gotten better which is nice. That's not debatable, just a fact. The story arc for the anime has strayed and has been worse because of this from the source material. That can be debated, but if you're one of the few people who thinks straying for the source material is a good idea, than I honestly feel bad for you. Even the non-filler episodes have felt like filler. This is an opinion based statement, but once again, I can't imagine how anyone could find every single one of these episodes "amazing", when maybe 1 in 10 or 15 has been worth watching this arc.
Well anime preceded the manga keep in mind so they can’t be penalized from straying
Also the manga is better than the anime imo, less fallacy
