Consider smoker's position though.....he is a logia AND he is a higher rank in the marines......he probably hasn't had much time to straight up train or anything. He is no doubt stronger than he was before, but the crew (and probably the rest of the world) have been training for the majority of the time.

Don't count him out yet though, I think smoker still has big roles to play later on.
