I finally just started this and I don't remember ever seeing an anime that pissed me off more in the first five episodes. Its phenomenal, but it's so unbelievably fucked up.

Like, I don't think I've ever seen a show where I want to stab fucking everyone but the MC in the face. It's starting to get better finally, but those first few episodes were rough. Hoping that princess bitch gets what's coming to her before too long, but I'm guessing they'll make us wait forever on that. At least the other heroes don't seem malicious, just naive and dumb as fuck.

I think that's the point. They want you to hate everyone so you can understand where the protagonist is coming from.

But yeah it's stupid that they actively want to prevent him from helping
I can understand not supporting him but actually going out of their way to hurt their chances at surviving the waves is annoying to watch

I get that that's the point, just a unique take for sure and not something I've experienced in a show. Even if you don't respect the class or whatever, he's support (or that's what they think). All he's going to do is make you stronger, why the fuck would you actively try to sabotage that? That being said, none of the other heroes are being malicious, they're all just dumb, naive, narcissistic cunts and Spear boy believes whatever that devil bitch tells him. It's one of those where we all know it'll slowly get better, but a couple of episodes to start where everyone treats him like a fucking leper and then like a rapist/criminal, just made my blood boil over and I posted that comment midway through the dual episode, after everyone at first ignores the princesses cheating. Shit was soooooooo absurd.

12 is the most recent, right? Ya, I'm caught up. I'm so bummed, I thought there were 24 episodes on Crunchy, but it was just the dub and sub. Glad I checked this one out, great addition to my weekly watches.

i kept up with the manga a few years ago when it just started. kimd of sad now that i didnt stay up on it. but this anime is really amazing. surprised this got the greenlight because it isnt your average show. i hope they dont end it too soon.
