haha im not saying like only as in they are never mentioned. but characters like shino and Lee who are bad ass are never used for any major fights. they were in the begining during the exams and what not but once shippuuden hit all the other rookies other then narutos team pretty much fell off. no one is "strong" enough to hang with him. kishimoto pretty much made 95% of all the other ninjas useless
as where oda continues to use every character to their full potential
thats more of the difference i was pokeing at

Edit* haha i never did either until i went to japan. and one piece blows ALL the other manga out of the water over there. it IS with no question the most popular thing in japan haha. you couldnt walk 4 feet without seeing something that was one piece.
i went to two different shonun jump shops and there was pretty much 50% one piece stuff 50% split between the rest of the mangas haha
so needless to say once i came home i started reading one piece. i also recremend reading it over watching it (just because you get your own voices and own personalities for the characters and its is much better then the show imo) i cant even watch the anime i think its terrible
but yeah one piece will make you cry and laugh out loud and give you a feeling of epicness and triumph its pretty much amazing
agree.
i also voted Naruto b/c to me Bleach seems like it's all about Ichigo.
everything is about Ichigo. now i know he's the main character and all but it just seems like whenever there is a major boss
here comes ichigo saving the day with a little bit of "high paced" training like w/ Yourichi, his dad, training with shinji
all of the training he received just boosted his strength by thousands which then made all the Soul Reapers who have been training for idk hundreds of years
seem like total shit.
kinda like DBZ, everything is about Goku except for the Cell Saga (they put a little Gohan in there to jazz it up a bit)
when shit fails, everybody waits for Goku to return from the dead, then he'll charge up for a couple episodes and save the world for another couple episodes.
and this just keeps happening over and over again with different villains and different support characters that just keep dying to make things seem more "dramatic"
as for Naruto, it's getting there. Naruto is coming to the point where he's gained soo much power in such a short amount of time,
he made all the ninjas he grew up with seem like total shit as well. but this is exceptional because he's got this beast sealed in him
the only huge thing that disappointed me about Naruto is the amount of experience he's gained within the 2 years.
he didn't learn shit! instead he became more unstable. well maybe he can do a double rasengan or something BUT THATS IT?
then he met Kakashi again who showed him the kage bushin no jutsu trick which multiplied his training by hundreds.
then you think "wtf? why didn't jiraiya teach him this shit? he would've roflstomp the ninja world with 2 years of that training process"
it also seemed like after the 2 year time gap, Oda didn't really build on any characters like Neji, Lee, and all the other guys except for Sai who had to be built on because he was a brand new character. everything seem to be revolved around Naruto and his life, which it's suppose to be because the anime is called
Naruto
