I share my anime experiences mostly with the wife.
I started the first one, and apocalypse hotel. 1 ep each just to see how characters are introduced, animation style, etc.
I am not sure where the first is going, could be a cutesie stabby thing. But nothing will probably beat Bludgeoning Angel from back in the day. As far as first seeing something like that. 😂
Apocalypse Hotel. I swear the whole episode was on a 5 minute loop. Nothing really happend. Probably won't watch that.
There hasn't really anything that has been out that I have been super excited for and the ones that I have kinda turned the wrong direction so far. I run through a lot of anime usually more than 1 episode, but so many are in the same "cookie cutter" storyline. Not really sure how much ",another world" type anime I care to not just pass by either. Make your own damn world 😖
From oh" I was reborn as a ninja, cook, Hunter, gamer, vending machine" I feel the ideas are being just randomly thought of. Kinda like how Pokemon is running out of ideas for new monsters. Think they are just looking for items around them adding a face and legs then calling it a day. Pair of Keys? Motorcycle, Lawnmower...
So I end up watching really old anime, like Fist of the North Star, Tomorrow's Joe, some mech stuff. Animation might look like ass in the view of some people but the story is concrete. People have a tendency to build off original anime and make their own, but how many decades are people going to do the same thing?
I know where you are coming from, after reading your post earlier, I tried to watch the Table Detective? or something to that effect... yeah I didn't really want to watch past episode 1 ... however I watched 4 episodes and gave it a miss. It has humor that I find boring... but that is me... I am going to spoil it a bit, but the Butler chose the wrong profession.
So, I decided to re-watch Ateliar from episode 1 to episode 8 ... since I have already watched up to 7 ... found this to be more interesting or pleasurable to watch.
Already understand your point about anime "reincarnated as a Vending Machine and Sword" that came out, watched them... hmm, I think they should do something a bit more dramatic... I liked the Greatest Assassin gets Reincarnated (something like that title) ...so why not have something different... Like, Reincarnated as a Slave Newly Born ... at least you start off not rich or an aristocrat with everything available for you ... you are a Slave, you have powers that you can not hope to get insta OP, but OP until you can learn more about it in this New World that you know nothing about, oh and forget the Gods empowering him/her with instant knowledge... empowered and OP, Yes, however, through the journey... learn... similar to Mushoku Tensei (think that is right), however the parents are slaves and don't have any magical abilities... maybe the father is a Gladiator or something.
To me, that would be more interesting than the guff that is repeated over and over...

I am rattling on, sorry and not sorry about that.
