danzou had to have his arm and eye sealed and it took time for him to un seal them to be ready for battle,
ochi probably did this to
1. further his own research
2. danzo sat idly bye as ochi attacked the village instead of getting root together to help stop the attack
Probably just to further his research. Remember root wasn't invented in the mind of Kubo at the time of the invasion so we can't really say if they were involved or not considering there was probably lots of off screen fighting to repel them lol
