I think Rukia is too cold and weak to be the main love interest in an anime. Orihime just has so much more range of emotion, and she's already completely in love with Ichigo.

Ichigo and Rukia is more of a friend respect thing. I think there's more chance of Ichigo a Tatsuki getting together then Ichigo and Rukia.

And the Thing you mentioned Lordhenry... Its just a misunderstanding of renji... They(meaning the other characters of the anime) might think that Ichigo loves Rukia or vice versa, But I Still believe its a very good friendship... Besides Rukia Said when she was in her cell during the SS arc, that he was just a guy whom she trusted really well.

And when Ganju was questioning why Ichigo wanted to save her... He just said it was debt... And Ichigo Really does seem to be that kind of guy...

Anyways Time will tell if there will be other confessions of love during this anime.
