If it really is a power boost, i think it'd be a little cliche as nearly every anime has some character that gets a power up from some eye technique.

In any case, im definitely looking forward to the story behind this one.

That baboun king shit is from the anime, he trained with hawkeye. The worlds best swordsman and lost an eye. Deal with it. Do you think shanks gets a power boost from losing and arm? They fight and bodies get damaged.

ofc there is a scar over it but i was saying the power boost was actually when he opens it and reveals nothing is wrong with it sorta like deidara from naruto it was trained to see something extra i mean HAWKeye did train him

also pretty strange 1 year time skip a new notable scar and his eye closed no one brings it up! nakama :(~!~

yea i kinda like the scar though i cant wait till luffy meets up with shanks but i bet hes going to die in the end

Given the amount of times he's overexerted himself through trading his life force away, i wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be the case.
