Not really, Gildartz proved to it when he powered up in front of Natsu. Yes they are OP but the current S Class before the Island dissapeared are way above the level than those taking the exams.

They need more than just power to become an S Class, yes I agree that Natsu is OP but there is a reason why he isn't an S Class just yet.

Now back to Fairy Tail, the exams is design so only the best is chosen for the rank. Yes Natsu have the ability to beat Erza and Mirajane and yes he have the ability to win when it comes to the fighting challenges but does he have the ability to think through to every situation like an adult?
If that was Natsu that did the 100 years quest and faced Acknowlogia, do you think he would back down like Gildartz? Hell No! Exactly te reason he still is not an S Class.

And S class isn't about leading. The "good" S-class mages always went out on their own (Mystogan, Gildartz, etc.).

The only two things an S-class mage really needs are strength and good combat decision-making skills. Natsu most definitely has the strength, and he has been shown to be a fairly quick thinker when it comes to actual battles.

That aside, he has out-done Erza multiple times, so he more than qualifies

And Gildartz didn't exactly back down; he more got his ass kicked so quickly that he wasn't actually able to fight back, which is quite a different story.

As for this chapter...meh, was kind of expected. Random adventure to find fairy tail members again. I doubt the fairy tail members who went missing have undergone any changes; they were already strong and/or getting strong at a good pace.

I went away from what I was trying to say on my first posts.
I was talking about every single one of them, including Levy, to be on the S Class Level.
Beause Honestly even though Natsu, Gray and Luvia are on the S Class level,
there are still some characters that needs more experience like Elfman, Cana, Levy and even Lucy and Wendy, who still doesn't cut it.

Edit: have to include Lucy on my point.

Yeah, I agree there.

Wendy as a dragonslayer MIGHT be good enough if she gets more experience. Lucy...maybe, but her magic seems kind of crappy overall.

Elfman...ehh...he's been at it for a long time and still isn't very strong; I don't think he has the capabilities overall to do it. Cana as well. Those few just don't seem to have the talent required to make it to s-class.

(All of Lucy's fights are BS lol, she only ever wins through some BS unforeseen circumstance that is never really reasonable. She's like Sakura but worse lol)
