IMO:

Zaraki and Byakuya both go all out on Yammi but fail.

Unohana comes in, and due to the unique nature of her Zanpaktu (Whatever it may be) is able to counter Yammi's immense power.

Think of how Yumichka's sword drains power from his opponent, something to that extent.

I'm fairly sure her bankai (or just her shikai) is that giant flying green healing manta that was shown during the aizen betrayal thing carrying the vice captains.
