seems like you're being overly picky, and taking from your own experience in life just to uphold whatever pointless pride you have.
i watch anime for the plot, and the plot alone. sometimes that includes plots that revolve around cute girls and sometimes that includes plots that revolve around death.
sure the animation can be annoying sometimes, and i do enjoy traditionally drawn/2d animes above all else, but i won't just not enjoy a perfectly awesome story because i feel like im better than the animation style.
now as far as butchering, idk what you mean, i don't read manga so i wouldn't know if berserk deterred from a true story line or something.
didn't say Golden Arc wasn't 3D (it obviously is, but it also has 2D scenes in it as well)
just said the current OP for the new series is mostly just cherry picked 2D scenes from the movies. (also a bit weird it's not built to show off the current story arc, It's almost seems like an OP for Gold Age Arc specifically Eclipse)
Why build an OP that's pretty much entirely 2D when the anime isn't... it's such a shit thing to do and seems like they're lying to the audience. (It's bad direction choice imo)
and yeah, if you were to compare the manga to the current anime it's a huge mess and rearrangement after cutting probably one of the best/better Post Golden Age arcs (Lost Children)
it really doesn't paint a good picture of the rest of the series, It's really rushed at this point,
