He knew he was dieing and  he felt his brother was the only person fit for killing him,  him dieing at sasuke hand was his way  for redemption for killing his clan  he didnt get in a fight  before he  dueled sasuke  he let sauske

hurt him so he could feel the pain and accept it for his actions.

not that he got hurt before the fight  he stood there and took the blows on purpose and let sasuke unleash justice on him, witch he felt he deserved. If any one else threw that he would of doged
