They stated that the old man used Akatsuki before for their village's own purposes - I believe last chapter or the one before that.

And about the "Haku_zabuza311 was slain by uchiha-sasuke." thing, you can't expect propaganda/rumors/news to always be as accurate to someone in a far-away village to recieve the message as detailed as you would in the battlefield. lol it's like if CNN reported osama bin laden getting killed, and also that he scraped his left foot during the hunt-down.

OKAY CLEARLY U HAVE LOW SELF ESTEEM CAUSE I DIDNT MAKE A PERSONAL ATTACK ON ALL I DID IS POST SOME OF THE OLD CHAPTERS TO CLEAR UP WHO KILLED WHO. I DIDNT EVEN GIVE A CRAP WHAT U POSTED CAUSE IT UR OPTION AND DONT CARE WHAT U SAY OR THINK.

b: the idiot AO that said it, clearly the Mizukage thinks AO is stupid and tells him shut up or she will kill him lots

It isn't that hard to understand. They just recieved thier information wrong. It's not like the hidden mist village was reading the manga right along side you. That and obviously it isn't just my opinion. I viewed it more as common sense. So please stop acting like a complete random here and get all worked up about a little detail in a huge story.
