Of course a month is more than enough for them to beat those 2.

We're talking about GON and KILLUA here, they're both geniuses since their family aka. dads are top 5 strongest NEN users in HxH
Means it wouldn't be a surprise if they'd gain an epic power-up during their training

i mean even KURAPIKA gained such a power up and could even beat a Spider called Ugo.

You can't compare Kurapika to Gon and Killua. The sacrifices he made and the gambles/debt he put on the line is far beyond what Gon and Killua have done.

Kurapika can ONLY beat up a spider.
He dies if he uses his abilities against anyone else.

I don't get why you want the main characters to be the strongest people in the world right away. It allows way more character development this way, and makes things much more interesting.

Anyways, I'm pretty pumped for what's coming up in about 10 episodes or so. 11 chapters off, so however many episodes that is.

Yeah but Kurapika took shortcuts that restrict his power tremendously. His powers work on only 13 people in the HxH world. Obviously Gon and Killua aren't about to do that. Plus, its been made clear that G and K are progressing very quickly, but they're 12 years old and pretty much alone right now. They were given people to beat that they shouldn't have been able to beat, so props to the author for not being tempted.

If you ask me, the only thing that's wrong with this episode is that we didn't see the finish to Killua's fight. I wanna know if he ran or simply lost. Bisky said "lose" not "run".

e/ Also, the way the arc is progressing is making me think Gon's father will play a part in its conclusion, and maybe Killua's family as well.

I'd understand if HxH would get over 500 episodes like one piece, where they can REALLY show the character development.
but the PACE is way too slow for HxH.

It's probably gonna end in 60-70 episodes, and they're wasting 5 episodes like it's nothing.

The manga isn't over yet. This arc will probably be around 70 more episodes though.

If this is what you feel right now, you probably won't like the ending of the arc either. ^^

Knuckle and Shoot aren't really that special, they are strong, still in training, but they have also been in training for a lot longer than Gon and Killua.
Palm is a bit more special though.

You gotta give the guy a chance. He's burnt out, that's why he's taking a break. But HxH is very popular now I think he has a lot of motivation to jump back into it. Part of it is this very successful anime.

iunno i disagree, knuckle and shoot are VERY special in terms of who they are, they're obviously not the strongest, so why else would they be selected to even try out for exterminating the chimera

Kurapika put a condition on his power and is a specialist ( which is extremely rare something that even gon and killua don't have) If he didn't have that condition on his most powerful move it wouldn't nearly have been powerful enough to stop ugo

they talked about all this before plus I don't recall them saying killua's dad with in the top 5 strongest nen users? and I am pretty sure they said gon's dad was in the top 10

btw both shoot and knuckle are apprentices of people who are extremely strong and have been getting trained by him probably for a much longer time then gon and killua have even known about nen

I like this anime the way it is, it is more realistic then dragon ball z and other shounens where they get that "super duper awesome kawaii uguu power-up" and instead they train and they get stronger and sometimes it's enough to beat their opponents and some times it's not.
