cause imo these side stories are pretty important for character development

yeah the problem is that they are forgetting all the character development in them. Not enough inner thoughts from kirito

was pretty good, felt bad for Liz tho... can never beat the main heroine.
Kirito is setting himself up for a nice harem.

I know... at first, I just wanted Liz to fuck off, but I ended up feeling bad for her in the end...

Either way, whether it's a side story or filler, they're all good

One thing I'm really glad with this series, is that the main character isn't a hopeless retard like in accel world

ok it makes perfect sense why we're getting these side stories
for those of you who haven't read the book volume 1 starts with a much higher floor than what we've seen in ep7 and a kinda flashback thing happens for what we saw in ep 1
so it makes sense cause all these side stories take place before the main story actually begins interesting way to put them instead of having them as just a flashback at some point

Ep 1 was okay.
Ep 2 was good.
Ep 3 was the best, it started out really weak but had a strong ending.
Ep 4 was pretty slow and not worth it.
Ep 5 wasn't that bad, but it was boring, so not worth it just like 4.
Ep 6 was absolute shit tier, singlehandedly it is enough to force a drop, especially that ending, jesus christ.
Ep 7 was a nice surprise after 6.

Honestly, the anime is good, but nowhere near top 10, no idea why there is so much fanboying go on.

I know I am watching Seinen, but it's as if they took the MC straight from some shounenshit. MCs who have an uncontrollable desire to help everyone around them (at the cost of themselves) are trash, especially in this anime since by helping individuals, Kirito is actually being counter productive and causing more deaths.

If I didn't enjoy the .hack concept so much, I would have dropped this long ago. I am absolutely mind boggled as to why people are praising this anime to such an extreme degree. Extremely overrated, school days was significantly better.

i don't see seinen listed as a genre
and honestly i've loved every episode so far and started reading the novels now and am absolutely loving it so far as well
i'm not acting like it's top 10 but it is by far the best of the summer season IMO
also imo school days was pretty crap

School days.. That's like comparing apples to oranges. It's overrated because there is a massive following for the light novel

I like this episode. I felt bad for Liz too.
