The only point I kept making (which kept being ignored) was shows that rely entirely on fanservice are always bad, and it'd be better for the entire industry if these guys would just stick to porn instead of demanding more of these horrible shows be made. We get it, it's intriguing and attractive to you that you can't tell if it's a girl or a boy, and it's also nice that you justify being obsessed with 12 yr old boy/girls because the character is actually an 800 yr old vampire. That's fantastic, it's sick, but fantastic. Please, do us all a favor and stick to hentai or w/e and let the industry actually grow.

doesn't hurt anything, you go into watching a ecchi series know it's not going to be some ground breaking masterpiece usually.
they're almost always comedy and they succeed at that mostly.

Just look at To Love-Ru.
it's does what it's suppose to do and pretty well.

Doesn't bother me in the least, I'm just not obsessed with it, and if you don't see a problem with enjoying seeing 12 year olds sexualized... You've got a serious problem. Pretty well.. So, even the best one you can come up with off the top of your head is still mediocre. There are a ton of these shows made every year, if there was no market for it, that's time that could be well spent attempting to make an actually good show. Still not seeing what you're missing here.

all i see is 2D art that's very cute and appealing.
it's hard to even compare 2D to 3DPD because they're so different. (fantasy is fantasy)

i think the real problem are the people that somehow group real children with 2D loli/shota, they're not the same.

I can selectively post certain pictures from death note, making the show appear as one of those anime you hate. "pure echii" bullshit.. at least to a person who never watched death note.

Justify it however you will. It still has a child's anatomy whether it's 2D or 3D and it's just weird to be attracted to that. Finding things cute is a different matter, but once again, there are better outlets for looking at cute art than anime. It gives the genre a bad rap, because more often than not, it's people who mainly watch ecchi/romance w/e with very little plot/humor that are the most vocal about anime and usually it's the same people who bash anyone that watches anything they consider mainstream.

It pushes away new viewers and creates a large market for for very poorly done shows. I don't know if you're as hard pressed as I am these days to find above average shows, but it's become a huge problem, and if even half of what's being released would be shows based around plot, character development, great action sequences or actually witty humor than I'd be ecstatic.

Everyone is entitled to watch whatever they want ofc, I just wish that more of you would see how beneficial it could be to the entire industry if you all stopped freaking the fuck out over every new terrible show that's got an adorable trap in it.



Just like you could post random clips from any movie with women in it making it look like a porno... that's completely fucking irrelevant. Deathnote didn't rely on anything other than a great plot. Obviously the story as a whole took a huge hit once L was gone, but it was still a good ride with a fitting ending. Start to finish it showed a man's decent from his idealistic notion of justice into pure madness, all the while becoming eviler at each turn. It was a fascinating show, and I'd struggle through something filled with ecchi bullshit if it was even half as good.

Seven Deadly Sins is a decent example, I had to force myself to get through the first 5 episodes because of how horrible it was with that shit. I'm glad I stuck it out and finished the season, but still, completely unnecessary shit that overall detracts from the story and the strength of the characters.

More so than anything, it's unrealistic. Obviously these are fantasy, but that doesn't mean that the characters can't at least act in a somewhat plausible way. The whole girl falling in love with the guy who's been perving on her super hard is just idiotic and makes zero fucking sense for anyone who's actually talked to a member of the opposite sex.

I'm a critical person and I'm going to give my opinion on things I believe to be stupid. I feel I've explained myself well enough so that even if you disagree with me, you should still at least know where I'm coming from. All you've managed to muster in defense of your weird fetishes are personal attacks and trolling.
