up until this episode, all Koko thought about was her childhood friend.
she enjoyed having Banri around, but still thought about the other guy.
when Banri pretty much gave her the ultimatum, she finally started to think about him.
she realized how attached she is to Banri, and that she doesn't want to lose him.
sometimes you don't realize how much you love something/someone until it's out of reach.

i think it would be too soon to say that she confessed only so that he wouldn't leave. gotta wait for the next episode(s).

Pretty much this. This anime has actually thrown a few surprises that weren't quite predictable at us so far, so I would say we can't just assume what's gonna happen in the next episode. Of course, there might have been some spoilers for those who watched the next ep preview, but I don't do that so...

Yeah, you're right I guess, was just a feeling I got.

I disliked Kouko ever since the episode in the Café (even though she's funny), I guess I'm biased like that.


I still think my thoughts that she only confessed because she wouldn't have anyone else unless she did are going to have a part in the anime

Either it's what actually happened.
Or Banri is going to start having those thoughts.
Or maybe even Mitsuo is going to be saying/implying it.


I'm more interested in what part Linda will be having from now on. ^^
