I've been struggling more and more to find good anime. Code Geass is one of the ones I did enjoy though, unlike the majority of animes I've watched. It actually has a ending, a good ending at that. I'm not a manga reader, so when something leaves unfinished that's it for me. It should go without saying that this pisses me off to some extremes, depending on how much I was enjoying the anime.
A lot of the characters in it can be annoying at times, Lelouch is defiantly whiny at times when he shouldn't be, to argue the genius behind the character is just pretty stupid imo. Someone in this thread said it would have been smarter for him to have all the VP Britanians killed off through assassination, seeing as how the emperor is immortal I doubt killing off other people in a dictatorship would have made much difference. He would have simply had them replaced and Lelouch would have been a mere nuisance.
At times it makes no sense and it defiantly has it's flaws. However in the end it has exciting battles, good strategy within these battles ( even if similar strats tend to get reused often ), an ending, and for the most part a like able lead. Calling it a complete shit anime with all the garbage floating around is just nonsense. Pure and simple, if your really hating on it that hard. You must either hate pretty much everything or your just bias against mecha or action type animes. I personally have always disliked mecha but I still enjoyed this.
I'd say it's a solid 7 on a scale of 1-10.
Anyways thought I'd throw my 2 cents out, I doubt anyone cares and the trolls are free to hate lol.
If you truly consider this a 1-2 anime, please hook me up with a list of ones that rank 7 or higher. I would love to have some more action or strategy based animes that are truly that good.
