It's not a matter of approval, rather representation of being okay and just wrong.

That's where stereotypes come from.

Because of shit like that people think badly of anime.

Similar to racism. Somebody somewhere fucked it up and now races are stuck with that image. Black people are good, yet one person steals and whole race gets associated with it?

You wouldn't want a person in your family doing drugs and doing nothing with their life right? They like it but you don't agree. By your logic, should they keep living their life that way, ignorant of people opinions?

Same concept with lolicons. They like little girls, but somebody somewhere took it too far and now they are stereotyped to be rapists and without morals?

Gay people are stereotyped to seem really flamboyant and disgustingly girly, yet in reality they're nothing like that and many gays get angry because of that.

Religion is good but some priest touched little boys and now religion is stuck with that image. Same fucking concept.

I don't think the way you live your life is wrong. You can have all the anime and touhou shit you want, but treating an imagined character like they're an actual person and worshiping them, that makes ME look bad.

religion is a lie.. it is a sugar coated false idea given to weak people to get at their money or other possessions.. and then those people force it on their children making them ignorant to the real world.

It is now and always has been the reason behind 90% of the worlds wars and is responsible for the deaths of billions.

it only provides false hope and those people should learn to rely and have faith in themselves, instead of praying to some omnipotent space wizard.

I should of been more specific. I don't like religion myself either. The values it teaches I meant is good. Being faithful, helping humanity, morals, etc.
