i wouldnt say normal or casual. usually when the mood hits me ill sit through entire series without sleep or much food. and im constantly watching anime. just not some of the more "hipster" and well known stuff. i usually just kinda pick something. ive seen so much anime and ive only now just finished sitting through all of Clannad.
