Last night I just watched; The Place Promised in Our Early Days.

Its quite a nice and emotional movie which follows a theme of togetherness, seperation and search, but across different dimensions (dreams and reality).

Animation was very nice too, the background art and colours especially were very pretty. However there was nothing majorly unique about the characters, but not saying they were bad either.

Overall I enjoyed the movie a lot ^_^

Place promised in our early days is shit.

The plot and script is so stupid, and the scenes that are suppose to be touchy or heart-trembeling are just funny and stupid.

Art is good ofc. It's ++++++10

But I was dissapointed in the film very much. 5cm/s was so much better.

I can´t see the point in it^^ Why does so many people rated 5cm/s 10/10

I don´t like how does it ends...

prefer Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo more.

ps: the Place promised in our early days is crap ye ... I dropped it after 5 minutes.

5cm/s is perfect.

You may find the plot pretty weird considering how the ending isn't happy (at least in a straight way.. if watch it few more times, you start to understund that the ending is actually happy).

But the way how the anime told a whole love story in 60 minutes giving different points of view makes it unbelieveble.

For example, in the second episode, the main character was observed by a random girl and the teller was also the girl. So it gave a new perspective for the story.

And a very good plot combined with the best art I've ever seen --> 10/10

For now, I don't feel like writing an 500word essey on the subject (nor would any1 ever read it). So I'll just leave it short.

/toki wo kakeru shoujo is also good. 9/10. But it really didn't shine in any other category than in good plot.. and still the ending was a little too much like this: *crycry I love you*.

But it sure was entertaining!

Hmm okay art is amazing and the first 2 eps as well, but I cant see a happy ending in there^^ perhaps The girl from the first ep... but that life from the guy is totally sad.

Maybe I should watch it again someday -_-

The story could have been developed more as it cut short on providing a few details. It was sort of too fast and too slow at the same time. As for the "emotional" scenes, whilst they didn't make me cry or anything, I wouldn't have called them stupid but then everyone has different tastes and opinions. But if your comparing it to 5cm, then yes it probably isn't as good. Ive not seen it yet but it generally seems to be accepted as a masterclass of its genre.

lol at 5 mins, nothing had even happened yet. The story had not started and one of the 3 main characters had barely been introduced.

In the very last scene the boy understunds to let the girl out of his mind and start living life without trying to accomplish something he can't do (get his childhood love back).

The girl had accepted that fact long time ago. That's why she didn't stop @the railway.

And lots of other things to prove the happy ending :)

lol, then why did you enjoy it :DDDD

and you described it better; It sometimes is too fast and sometimes way too slow.
