probably itachi killed him and danzo found out and implanted his eye

i think there's more to the story than that and that's why i suggested other possibilities

Was thinking maybe danzo is madara's younger brother.

we thought that for awhile now... but this chapter makes me think differently

why? They each have one eye covered. Opposite eye too.

nope, it's both the right eye.

plus the hyuuga wannabe says that eye cam from shisui, unless shisui is a descendant from madara and his brother.

Before this chapter I thought Danzo WAS Madara...

danzo saw kakashi eye and was like wtf hax i want in on this and used root to recover the body and took eye imo perhaps with orchimaru's help ? ochi wanted the eye but he wanted the whole package so he wouldn't tire after using it so he be up for experiments

but i dont know if he left the village before this happend or he could of snuck back in with danzo help possibility are endless

Oooh that's interesting, a link between Danzo and Orochimaru for the eye! I like that option.

don't think so..... danzo and the elders ordered for the destruction of the uchiha's so he was probably working with itachi to some extent.
