Searing bond was carrying people last season if I recall (it got nerfed though)

The usual advice (for poe and most other games), don't start with a melee character unless there is some amazing build that hasn't been nerfed yet (which I doubt there is, POE devs fucking hate melee)
stick to a ranged hero, be it magic or phys based.
Be content with clearing maps up to ~70-71 until you find better gear or currency to trade
Lol, I got a pure melee build. Groundslam/Heavy Strike Marauder.
Mate is playing a glass canon ranger. Going for full crit dmg/chance.
This was just to test the game, get to know the gamemechanics.
No idea what my next char should be.
Also, how's the pvp in this game?
