Working out so far. Got Groundslam-Added Fire Dmg-Lifeleech-Added Physical Dmg in my armor now. I'm oneshotting most mobs in Act 2 Cruel (I know that means nothing for Merciless or however it's called). Most of my gear is still terrible though.
Working on getting all the Endurance Charges skillpoints now. Already got Blood Magic and a couple of other keystones and stuff.

Dabbling a bit with a Witch Summoner too.

summoners are pretty shitty since they nerfed them and u have to snapshot everythign if u want to be good with it its super expensiv eto be a beast summoner, im like 93 or 94 on HC just havnt played since im an mfer it gets borign solo

those builds are really low trash dps late game ur honestly stuck doing like SUper expensive crit dagger builds or spec throw if u want to farm efficently

Could be wrong but it looks like he solos the last boss on hardest difficulty no problem...


edit: gear did appear to be very expensive though. I'm still just self-finding shit on my Marauder. Got to act3 Cruel yesterday.

PoE is 5% build, 95% gear

anyone can make a boss look easy with the best shit

Yeah, I'm probably gonna get stuck on my char pretty soon. But fuck it, I'm still learning.

While what I said is true, that isn't to say that some builds can't succeed without the best gear.

Back in the day, builds like LA + LMP + xxx could take a ranger to end game with nothing but 4 slots and okay rares

Searing bond was carrying people last season if I recall (it got nerfed though)

etc etc.

The usual advice (for poe and most other games), don't start with a melee character unless there is some amazing build that hasn't been nerfed yet (which I doubt there is, POE devs fucking hate melee)

stick to a ranged hero, be it magic or phys based.

Be content with clearing maps up to ~70-71 until you find better gear or currency to trade
