if so, this will be Luffy's first territory.

Big Mama is their protector, it just happens that the Straw Hats were in the Island when this events happened.

To be honest I don't like the idea of Luffy owning a territory.
He likes the adventure and being free.

He's not going to stay in there because that wasn't part of his Goal.
If Fishman Island is under his rule, the Navy will surely invade it after he leaves.
Making the Fishman Island under the Human Law.
Tenryuubito's will be able to come and go as they please and taking Fishman's and Mermaids with them to become slaves.
If the Fishman is under a Yonko, the Navy wouldn't dare come near it, let alone the Tenryuubito's.

I'm sure if Fishman Island switched their ruler from Yonko to a Supernova
that will show how much of an impact and threat Luffy really is to the World Government
with that being said the World Government wouldn't dare touching Fishman Island
The Princess controls the Sea Kings and that enough I think is enough power to say "Stay the fuck away World Government"
and even if the World Government did attack Fishman Island, i wouldn't doubt Luffy would come sailing across the whole world
to stop the assault or do some damage. I'm saying this because when the Tenryuubito shot
Hachi, Luffy went ape shit and knocked the fuck out of the Tenryuubito anyways.
Luffy has always been very protective of his friends. if he doesn't then what was the point of the 2 years of training?

So say Luffy was declared ruler of the Fishman Island.
Then he leaves, about halfway through the New World and getting so much closer to One Piece, Fishman Island gets attacked.
Do you really think the Straw Hats would travel back?
I do beliee that the Fishman will side with the Strawhats at the last battle.

Sea king is not under command.
The princess still does not know how to use that skill properly.
Maybe later but I doubt anytime soon considering she probably does not want to attract the Sea King close to the Island.
