I was pointing out Luppi is never a Vasto, he wasn't close enough as in gun in his head ranged, he have atleast 10 yards to avoid it maybe more.
and Grimjaw have to kill Luppi because Luppi never proved he has the ability like Grimjaw.
even IF Grimjaw lost his hand, he can but it was never shown, still transform and probably can par againts a Captain without getting caught on some ice blocks >.<

but the more interesting matter is how is Uryu's dad fit in the story if it involved Zero Squad

Or maybe Aizen have been sending his Hollows after Uruhara. Ichigo and Uryu's dad have been helping him fend them off.

I hope they won't join this battle, maybe Uruhara. I don't want to think that there's only Aizen for a bad guy :'(

shinigami would have been able to detect if there were battles with hollow not involving the shinigami they had assigned.

I think 1-6 are definitely vasto. I have been watching the english on saturdays and it flashes to ulquiorra every time it mentions vasto lorde. Also it said that grimmjow's fraccion were adjuchas adn gillian class, but showlong admitted that his powers don't even register compared to grimmjow. So either adjuchas can range from 5th seat to top espada level, or 1-6 are definitely vastos. Take your pick of the 2 situations.
