I need something new and refreshing. Eden of the east or whatever it's called seems quite promising but i don't like watching ongoing anime.

i need something like this:

-can be old but not too old, new stuff preferred
-nice story
-no mecha(xept if it's like FLCL)
-shouldn't have too many episodes since it will probably get boring like city hunter for example.
-no ongoing stuff(xept if it's really good~)
-any genre(no gay&hentai)
