First Byakuya sees the seal and Muramasa says it takes 3 zanpakutou to keep him in check at all times. Then while Byakuya gets closer the 3 zanpakutou's are focusing on keeping the seal up and Ukitake's zanpakutou(s) let some of the flame out, get yelled at like it's definitively their fault, and then they basically joke that they can't be held responsible for "fluctuations" aka them not paying attention enough.
Then All 3 of the zanpakutous keeping the seal up leave and go fight their masters/others to protect the seal but leaving the seal to hold itself up when they had to spend every second there up til that point to keep it stable?
Then the shadowy zanpakutou that leads Ichigo to Hisagi's zanpakutou vanishes? Never fights Ichigo before he gets to the seal? Never fights him when he gets to the seal? Just lets him walk all the way up to it, check it out, and make a decision on what he's gonna do to it?

Anime filler logic is getting worse than Tite Kubo's Manga logic
I doubt they have to stay at it 24/7. They would run out of energy if they had to stay at it constantly, there is probably something thats keeping the barrier up and they just charge it up or something like a battery
The shadowy one was minazuki, she is unohana's and I doubt she is going to rush into a fight because of her healing nature.
