its common sense lol... i mean..they are pirates ffs their lives revolved around the ocean.. if by eating a DF, they wernt aloud to even get a splase of sea water, i doubt any1 would have eaten it.

sea stone gives off the aura of the ocean which is why DF users cant do anything. how can you truly feel the aura if one or more of ur body part is not inside the ocean?

when jimbei uses his water technique to throw luffy over to the admirals during the war, im sure when luffy landed and, he had sea water splashed on him... and he was fine.

meh , remember in Alabasta when Luffy fought Crocodile ? first time he hit him with a splash of water , then he punched with his blood on the hand . That helped him to hit , and Crocodile couldn`t turn into sand .

So ... i don`t think it`s only ocean`s water .

well yeah it's not just seawater; it is just more commonly used since seacuffs work using the power of the "sea".

Howerver, what happened to Crocodile only happened because his fruit power is sand which is naturally weak to water
