has anyone considered the possibility that danzo is Obito, kakashi's squadmate and "long-dead" friend (the one whose LEFT eye was transplanted into Kakashi and until recently, many people believes tobi to be Obito because of the mask covering only his left eye.

Danzo wants sasuke's eyes so that he can achieve the eternal mangekyo remember what madara did, taking his brothers eyes because overusing the eye caused him to go blind...

Also i remember danzoi talking about something related to fixing his eye a few chapters ago, which tells me he's on the verge of losing his vision in that eye...

Just theorizing as to why he has a sharingan and why he might want sasuke so badly...

If he were Obito, it would explain the numerous scars across all of his body and face...
