I need pro tips and practice.. or I need to just say fuck the lancer and make a sorc -.-

idk haven't played it. My only question is: Is it really grindy?

unlike WoW it will take you more then 48 hours to get max lvl and acquire gear.

so yes.

anyways I made a sorc.. I will still practice on lancer and try to get better but I don't think it's for me, at least for pvp.

I land my stuns but miss my fallow up.. the way shield barrage moves you around and the way the wallop animation is.. and I found out today that if you block piercing arrow it burns all your resolve..

so your options are..

1) take the huge damaging arrow to the face.
2) block the huge damaging arrow and take the next one to the face because no resolve.. not to mention anything else he shoots at you.

it is really fucking lame...

I don't mean time wise, I mean repetitiveness wise. Like, killing a type of monster over
and over
and over
and over

never played runescape..

yes you have to kill monsters over and over to level.

or you can just level in battle grounds.

yeah, it's a grind fest and you see the same monsters with dif skins all the time until like lvl 50.

you can do battle grounds to level but I don't know how realistic it is to get max level doing that... I heard 1 guy did it, 1 guy...

anyways despite that the combat is like nothing else, I have played many action MMOs and there is really something about it I think everyone should at least do it once.

grind it out and get lvl 60 and see what it is all about. but choose your class wisely and stick it out to the end. At worst it will be like a month of free time wasted. ( idk how much free time you have, could probably get 60 in like a week of hard playing )

I work full time so this sounds like it'd be a long journey. Though, I do need a game other than Minecraft to dump my binge gaming into when I have my days off. Looked at some videos and it seems...too good to be true. I'm definitely going to try it, though. Just give it to me straight, is it like all of the other mmorps in the fact that it's terribly boring until max level?

yes and no.

it is all about the BAMs and the instances, you start seeing BAMs at like lvl 20 and the first instances is level 20.

there are also open world dungeons and a pretty big map to explorer, and to level you will be doing that by doing repetitive story and area quests to kill this many things, or collect so many of that. mostly trash mobs too..
